KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Hundreds of people celebrated a summer of reading at the 9th Annual Children's Festival of Reading.
The festival took place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event was free and open to the public.
The festival featured authors, story tellers and other entertainers. The event encourages kids to read all summer long.
"This, really, has become on the most important events for kids that we have in this community. We have parents telling us that this is one of their favorite events, said Mary Pom Claiborne with the Knox County Public Library.
