Country music singer Sara Evans performs in Knoxville for Red Cross

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A sold out crowded watched and danced as country music singer Sara Evans performed in Knoxville.

The performance was part of the the 2014 "Red, White & Rock" fundraiser for the Red Cross and was presented by the Scripps Networks.

Evans performed songs from her new album "Slow Me Down."

Evans has been a spokesperson for the Red Cross since 2005 when she watched the work of volunteers following the deadly tsunami in the

"It's really been an incredible honor. It's such an important organization. They're always there anytime a disaster strikes," Evans told Local 8 News.
