KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Saving a few extra cents here and there can really add up. That's the message Melissa Cox is bringing to Knoxville when she hosts her Savings Nation money-saving workshop on Monday.
The class, which is described as the "world's largest coupon class," features simple tips and tricks to save money at the grocery store.
Cox said that by pre-planning meals and using coupons, consumers could cut their grocery bill up to 50 percent. Her method utilizes three basic steps, planning your purchases to get the best price, avoiding temptation, and breaking out those coupons.
The class will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday night at the Cedar Springs Christian Stores, 504 North Peters Road.
According to Cox, the Savings Nation movement spans 50 cities and is helping millions save each month.
