In God we trust. Those four little words sparked a lot of controversy in the small town of Clinton.
Today, a granite sign with those words on it will be hanging above the doors at the Anderson County Courthouse. Local 8 news was there as commissioners debated over the legality of the emblem.
In the end, they decided to hang black granite signs with gold inscriptions over the entry ways. Contractors were supposed to hang them around 1:30, but they had some problems with the drill bits and the granite.
People in Clinton we spoke with are happy about the religious sign.
We'll post a picture as soon as it is put above the doors.
