Crimetracker: Suspects open fire during attempted robbery

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Knoxville Police are investigating after two suspects open fire during an attempted robbery at a West Knoxville apartment complex.

It happened at Prestwick Ridge Apartments just after 4 a.m. Sunday.

According to police, two armed men attempted to rob a victim. When the victim took off in his car, the suspects shot at his car. The victim was not injured.

The suspects ran off after the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
