Crimetracker: 5 nabbed in connection with Sequoyah Hills robberies

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Five people were arrested in connection with a string of burglaries that struck mainly Sequoyah Hills over the past month.

According to the Knoxville Police Dept., Lawrence Schumeker, Katti Hurst, Kendra Hurst, Brittany Smalley, and Steven Houston face a total of 35 charges, most of which are felony thefts and aggravated burglaries.

The charges stem from a string of 13 robberies in the area, seven of which were in Sequoyah Hills.
