Crimetracker: Crash leads to bomb squad being called

The Knoxville Police Department arrested a man this afternoon, but only after the bomb squad was called in to check out a suspicious package.

Officers responded to the Copper Point Apartments on Gallaher View Road over a road rage issue. While on their way to the scene, they say the suspect took off.

The suspect was caught at the Bread Box a short time later.

Items found in the car led to the Knoxville Bomb Squad being called. The items were eventually determined to be safe.

The suspect, Joshua Collins, was arrested on drug charges.
