Crimetracker: KPD investigating North Knoxville attempted robbery

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Knoxville Police officers are investigating an attempted robbery at a North Knoxville store.

It happened at Ken Jo Markets on Merchants Drive around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to KPD, a man walked into the store and demanded cash from the clerk. The suspect threatened the clerk with a gun.

During the robbery, people walked into the store. That's when the man took off running.

Police said no one was injured.
