Crimetracker: KPD searching for South Knoxville armed robbery suspect

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Knoxville Police are investigating after an armed robbery at a convenience store in South Knoxville.

According to KPD, a male wearing a black mask walked into the BP at 3120 Chapman Highway. He demanded cash from the register as he tapped a small knife on the counter, police said.

The suspect ran off with cash. Officers believe he headed south on Chapman Highway.

The suspect was about 5'7", and weighed around 145 lbs. He was wearing jeans, a yellow shirt or jacket with a hood, gloves, and a black toboggan pulled over his face. The tobogganhad crudely cut eye holes. The suspect is believed to be a white male.
