KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knox County Sheriff's Office Family Crisis Unit arrested Ashley Nicole Williams at her North Knox County home around 2 o'clock Wednesday.
Williams is charged with aggravated child abuse. According to a grand jury indictment, she seriously hurt a child younger than nine years old between October 1 and November 18 2011.
She used to live on Lakefront Drive in Knoxville. Her former landlord said she rented from him for about a year and a half before moving out 8 months ago to get a bigger place because she had her second child. He said she was a good tenant and he never suspected anything wrong.
Williams is in jail on a $200,000 bond. She has no other criminal history in Knox County.
