Crimetracker: Meth lab busted in Grainger County

GRAINGER COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Grainger County authorities arrested 6 people after a raid at a home on Brown Fanney Road in Thorn Hill early Thursday morning.
Deputies and detectives found an active meth lab, dismantled it and turned it over to the East Tennessee Meth. 33-year-old John C. Holt's home was quarantined and he was taken into custody.
Holt has been the subject of a two and a half year investigation. Sheriff Scott Layel said, "Holt has been a major dealer in methamphetamine for some period of time and I feel much more comfortable seeing him off the streets and the elaborate manufacturing and dealing operation shut down."
Five other suspects are also facing charges.
