KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Investigators have confirmed a fifteen year-old boy was shot outside following a Young Life event late Monday night. The teen was taken to Children's Hospital where he was treated for what was described as non-life threatening injuries.
Police found him in a parking lot around 11:00 p.m. after responding to reports of a disturbance in the 2600-block of Boyds Bridge Pike. They said several shots were fired with one hitting him in the foot.
Witnesses told investigators there had been a verbal argument before someone started shooting. A Knoxville Police spokesperson said the investigation is ongoing.
