Crimetracker: Suspect sought after dry cleaners robbed

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knox Co. Sheriff's Office is searching for the man who robbed a west Knox Co. dry cleaners late Thursday afternoon.

Authorities said the suspect walked into the Farragut Cleaners, 430 Cedar Bluff Road, around 4:15 p.m. He showed the clerk a gun gun and demanded money before taking off on foot.

A witness told investigators she saw someone matching the suspect's description running toward nearby apartments. He was locked out and, after several minutes of trying to get in, the suspect ran off.

The perpetrator was described as a white man between 5'8" and 5'10", with tan shorts, an orange hoodie, and a black ski mask. He was carrying a black gun.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Knox Co. Sheriff's Office at 215-2243.
