KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Wednesday night around 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of an aggravated assault and possible armed robbery at 1004 Sevier Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the victim who was attacked driving away from the home on Sevier Avenue.
She told police that several people attacked her while she was outside of her ex-boyfriend's home on 1011 Sevier Avenue. She said that one of the suspects hit her in the head with a gun and kicked her while she was on the ground.
Also, the woman said the suspects might have stolen $400 from her during the attack.
Police are currently investigating but say it appears this was not a random crime and some of the suspects may live at the home with the women's ex-boyfriend.
The victim was taken to the hospital to treat a large cut on her head and scratches on her body.
