KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The parents of a six-month-old baby shot in the head during a domestic dispute on Alcoa Highway in June pleaded guilty and were sentenced Tuesday morning.
Angela Major and Kenneth Mason pleaded guilty to reckless homicide and felon in possession of a gun.
The judge sentenced Mason to six years in prison. She sentenced Major to a total of nine years - six for the shooting, and three for violating her probation for a 2010 aggravated burglary and felony vandalism case.
According to court documents, Major's other four children are in DCS custody. DCS took three of her children away from her when she set fire to a structure in 2009 with the three children inside. She was charged with aggravated arson in that case.
