ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two people in Hawkins County now face charges in connection with the theft of several items from a Rogersville property.
Rickie Allen Campbell, 26, and Morgan Nicole Hutson, 26, are both charged with Theft of Property Over $500. In addition, Campbell faces charges of Possession of Burglary Tools and Evading Arrest.
Tuesday, sheriff's deputies went to a home on Richards Road. There, Jerry Lawson told officers that Campbell and Hutson had loaded a round bale feeder, corral panel and several tobacco sticks into a Black Dodge Dakota pickup truck. They then headed north on Highway 11W.
A Church Hill Police officer soon spotted the truck and the stolen items in front of an apartment on Old Mill Race Road in Church Hill. Hutson was waiting inside the truck. Campbell was inside the apartment. He spotted officers and ran out the door, but police caught up with him and arrested him at the Fairview Trailer Park.
In addition to the items stolen from Lawson, police found several hand tools, a logging chain, baling string and a floor jack, all of which they believe were used in the theft.
Both Campbell and Hutson are in the Hawkins County Jail. Campbell's bond was set at $50,000, and he's due in court June 26. Hutson's bond is $5,000 and her court date is set for June 19.
