KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A raid on an east Knoxville home lands one woman behind bars after officers reportedly find several rocks of crack cocaine, baggies, and scales while searching her home in the Park Ridge Community.
Angela Smith, 50, was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell or Distribute Cocaine in a Drug Free School Zone and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She is currently out on bond for Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Assault.
Prior to the raid, the lead investigator had a cooperating individual buy crack from the home, 1700 Woodbine AVe., and was able to get a search warrant, according to the Knoxville Police Dept. Officers then returned to the home on Monday to search it.
KPD also noted the house was the scene of a reported home invasion back in May. They said unknown men kicked in the door and started firing into the house before running away, still shooting.
Police said she violated Drug Free School Zone law because her house sits next to Caswell Park on Winona Street.
