If you are traveling Northeast know that you'll run into rain and snow. The snow that grazed the Smoky Mountains Wednesday morning is pulling further Northeast.
We have colder air on the way, so as scattered showers move in this evening into the overnight, we will see some changeover to wintry mix and snow.
Mild today with a light breeze, and becoming mostly cloudy again in the afternoon and evening hours.

A batch of showers will approach late today, around 7 to 9 p.m. along the Plateau. This will start as rain but will change to a wintry mix and snow in the higher elevations and gradually become wintry mix and wet snow showers for some in the Valley as the temperature drops. Scattered snow will be on and off tonight and into your Thanksgiving Day.
Tonight's low will be around 33 degrees, with a 60% chance for showers.
Thanksgiving Day will be mostly cloudy, as the showers taper off, so some wet snow showers and flurries will start the day. Spotty snow will linger in the Smokies later in the day. The high will be around 44 degrees.
Thursday night will be cold as clouds clear out, with a low of 26 degrees.
Friday will be mostly sunny with a high of 46 degrees.
Have a great day!
