Dead animals found hanging at Gibbs High School

GIBBS, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Animal Control are investigating what appears to be a prank at Gibbs High School Wednesday morning. Four raccoons, 2 possums, and a turtle were found in various places outside the school including one raccoon which was hoisted from the flag pole.

Officers say it appears the animals were road kill and had been dead for some time. They were taken to Young Williams and could be sent away for testing. There was also graffiti in red paint on the grass.
