WARTBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Tennessee Department of Corrections arrested four people, including one employee, accused having drugs and trying to sneak contraband into Morgan Co. Correctional Complex.
“The introduction of contraband into state prisons is a serious offense that threatens the safety and security of staff and inmates and will not be tolerated,” said Commissioner Derrick D. Schofield.
Lori Hensley, a nurse at the facility, stands accused of trying to bring in contraband and possessing Oxycodone. Shelia Mcbee and Ronema Widener were both arrested on drug charges, while Shannon Hunt is charged with trying to bring in a cell phone.
“Our agency will vigorously pursue prosecution against any person who attempts to threaten security,” said Commissioner Derrick D. Schofield.
