Deputies seek hit-and-run driver who hit go-cart

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Knox County authorities say a car struck a go-kart, injuring two children, and then sped away.

Sheriff's deputies are seeking a black car that likely has a broken driver's side headlight after the collision Sunday night. A boy and a girl who were riding in the go-cart were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Deputies said the girl was not wearing a helmet.

The car being sought is believed to be a Nissan Sentra and the driver is thought to have been male.

Tips should be phoned to the Knox County Sheriff's Office at (865) 215-2243.
