KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The deputy shot during fatal standoff inside a mobile home late last month has gone home from the hospital, the Knox Co. Sheriff's Office announced on Tuesday. Sgt. Mike Ledbetter was released from UT Medical Center and is resting comfortably now.
Ledbetter doesn't have any more surgeries planned, KCSO said. He is still pretty weak and is undergoing physical therapy.
He and his wife said they very much appreciate the continuing support and prayers as he recovers.
Ledbetter was shot as police tried to capture Jordan Camp on June 21. Camp had been wanted on several outstanding warrants, including aggravated assault, leaving the scene of an accident, and violating parole, according to the Sheriff's Dept.
