KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)--Lilies, Tulips, and even Bradford Pear trees are in bloom. Soon, the Dogwoods will be too, just in time for the Dogwood Festival. It kicks off today with new revamped dogwood walking trails. There are also some new sculptures to see at Krutch Park in downtown Knoxville.
Erin Slocum, the Dogwood Arts Marketing Manager says, "This weekend we have the, Chalkwalk on Saturday, Rhythm & Blooms Friday through Sunday. The first Friday is all of our exhibit openings. Regional Fine Arts student exhibitions. And Nexus, Fine Arts in Public Places, which is right behind us."
These sculptures were crafted by artists all over the country. You can see them at Krutch Park and at Mcghee Tyson Airport. They're also available for purchase at www.Dogwoodarts.Com. The Dogwood Arts Festival will be going on through the month of April.
