(WVLT) - An Ohio man is the latest person working to help raise money for a Madisonville family, whose parents were killed in a car wreck.
After learning about the crash, Brian Morris created the website: "Barhorst Family Fund."
Nearly $8,000 has been raised so far, which is just short of the $10,000 goal.
Scott and Michele Barhorst were killed in a head-on collision on I-75 in Warren County, Ohio, last Saturday. They were making a holiday trip to see loved ones.
Their four children from ages 8 to 18, Tori, Hailee, Logan and Tyler, survived.
Last week, the children's teachers collected toys and other items for the family and made a trip up to Ohio to drop off the donated stuff.
Police say a drunk driver, Joshua Nkansah, who was driving two of his children home from a Christmas party, is responsible for the wreck. One of the man's children died, while another survived.
