KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Several dozen people gathered in Knoxville's Krutch Park Wednesday to rally for immigration reform.
Speakers spoke of the importance for the 11 million undocumented immigrants in America to gain a path for citizenship. They were in support of recent legislation proposed by Washington's "Gang of 8" that would make that possible through a 10 year process.
Together the group sang "De Colores," shared tamales to raise money for their effort and signed letters to their congressmen, sharing the importance of their need to find good work to raise a happy and healthy family.
The rally ended with a march down Gay Street and Main Street.
