KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) A 33 year-old Knoxville man was seriously injured overnight Tuesday after his pickup went off the road and started flipping, throwing him out of the truck.
Police say Michael Howerton was driving along Pellissippi Pkwy. around 1:00 a.m. when his 1995 Ford Ranger went off the road near Dutchtown Road. The pickup rolled several times, ejecting him. Officers found his truck in the median.
Emergency crews rushed Howerton to UT Medical Center.
A fatal accident reconstruction team was also called to the scene because his injuries were considered potentially life threatening.
