Weather Alert: Strong to severe storms are expected tonight
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- Everyone's ok, but more than 20 thousand dollars worth of damage was done, after a car smashed into a West Knoxville business.
The wreck happened around 5 o'clock, on Friday evening at the Indian Grocery store, on Downtown West Boulevard.
Firefighters tell us the woman behind the wheel, accidentally hit the accelerator, then came crashing into the front of the store.
The owner and at least one shopper were inside at the time.
A witness told us it was quite a scare.
"I saw the one car get inside in the right of way. So we are just as scared. And we are looking at everything is broken."
The fire department tells us no charges are expected to be filed.
