PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- An Eaglet that fell out of a nest and injured in Chattanooga is about ready to be released back into the wild.
2 Eaglets were born in Harrison Bay State Park near Chattanooga and one fell out of the nest. He was hurt and taken to UT for treatment.
"He had some ma-gets, a slight injury to one of it's wings," said Al Cecere, American Eagle Foundation. "It's been under rehabilitation at the American Eagle Foundation. We've just put it in our flight cage which is the final stage of rehabilitation."
Next week the group plans to take the bird back to Chattanooga where they plan on releasing it back into the wild.
