East Knoxville Dollar Store robbed at knife point

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Officers with the Knoxville Police Dept. are searching for the man who robbed an east Knoxville Dollar Store at knife point late Monday morning.

According to police, the suspect walked into the store, 2604 Magnolia, shortly before 11:00 a.m. and pulled out a knife. He grabbed a "small amount of cash" before taking off on foot toward Linden Ave.

The suspect is described as a black man, 20 to 25 years old, between 5'5"-5'7", and weighing about 185 lbs. He was wearing a brown hooded jacket, blue faded jeans, and white shoes. His face was covered by a blue bandana.
