John Shuey
CLINTON, Tenn. (WVLT) -- How many times have you placed something on top of your car, then drove off with it still sitting there? That's what Anderson County sheriff's officials say happened to a bailiff who lost his service pistol on the way to work.
Sheriff's department officials say John Shuey is also a county commissioner and apparently put the .40-caliber Glock pistol on top of his vehicle as he was preparing to leave for work late last week and drove away with it will on the roof.
A passing driver found the gun and turned it over to authorities.
A spokesman says the department is doing a review to determine if discipline is warranted.
