KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- The 12th Annual Rossini Festival delivers cultural arts and entertainment to East Tennessee Saturday despite the weather forecast.
The festival kicks off at 11:00 a.m. and ends 9:00 p.m. It will cover 12 blocks of downtown Gay Street and the Market Square District.
You'll want to check out more than 200 upscale artisan booths along with your favorite festival food and beverages. Plenty of entertainment will fill the streets including Knoxville Opera's production of Cinderella.
Last year over 100,000 people came out and this year they're hoping the same or more arrive to celebrate the Rossini Festival.
New this year; The Princess Parade where over 200 little girls have signed up to parade through downtown with Cinderella, followed by a tea party in the Tennessee Theater.
Also, in The Grill at Highlands Row/Constellation Brands Wine Experience tent in Krutch Park Extension, people will be able to choose from an extensive array of wine tastings starting at noon including Napa Bourdeaux, High End Italian Reds, Shiraz, Zins, Napa Cabs, Rieslings, Whites of New Zealand, and Champagnes among others.
