KODAK, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Flames erupted from an abandoned home in Kodak early Thursday morning. Firefighters said they could see the fire shooting from the house on Douglas Dam Road when they arrived shortly before 1:00 a.m.
They stayed on the scene for hours, working to contain the blaze and keep it from reaching a propane tank that sat on the property.
The fire had destroyed the house before firefighters could put it out.
Investigators are still trying to determine what started the fire.
