Fire destroys home in Dandridge

DANDRIDGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A large fire consumed a home in Dandridge and had several firefighters working into the night.

Jefferson County dispatch confirms that a call came in at about 10:00 p.m. Saturday from Blue Herron Way near Douglas Lake.

Dandridge Fire along with several surrounding fire departments responded to the blaze.

Dispatch says the house suffered a lot of damage, but no injuries were reported.

Firefighters had the fire knocked down and the area cleared by 2:00 a.m.

The cause is still under investigation.
