One dead in Blount County fire

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - One person is dead and three others are safe after an overnight fire in Blount County.

Firefighters were called out to a home at 239 Webb Road in Townsend around 3 a.m. Monday.

Officials are not telling us who the person is who died. They are waiting on the results of an autopsy which will be conducted at U.T. Medical Center.

Three juveniles who were home at the time made it out of the house and were not injured during the fire.

The Blount County Sheriff's Office fire investigator is still working to figure out what caused the fire.
