Firefighters battle overnight fire in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Investigators are now trying to determine what sparked an overnight house fire in Rockford early Monday morning.

Around 2:00 a.m., firefighters rushed to a home on Calvert Street, where they found heavy smoke and flames already billowing from the home. One person was inside at the time, but managed to escape safely, firefighters said. No one was hurt in the fire.

Firefighters managed to contain the flames, but the roof still sustained significant damage.
