KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Firefighters returned to a west Knox Co. home shortly before 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning after a home burst back into flames.
They had battled to save as much of a west Knox Co. home as possible overnight, Around 12:30 a.m., a neighbor called emergency crews to Westland Drive as flames poured from a home near Concord Marina. Officials with Rural Metro said at least half of the the home has been damaged or destroyed by the fire.
Crews were forced to take a defensive stance due to the intensity of the flames.
No one was home at the time. Neighbors said they are out of town.
Investigators are still trying to determine a cause.
