Firefighters hold boot drive for MDA

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Pigeon Forge Firefighters are holding a boot drive for MDA and are asking for the community to support their efforts.

"The Lord has blessed us all, we've got great jobs up here. We get to protect one of the most beautiful places in the world. To be able to give back out here and see our community. But it's about those kids to start with that's the most important thing," said Chief Tony Watson as he stands out front of Kroger with a boot collecting money.

The boot drive will go until Saturday at the Kroger in Pigeon Forge. In years past the fire department has raised $3500 for the MDA during the boot drive.
