SEYMOUR, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Fire tore through a Seymour home early Thursday morning. But, while the home was destroyed, its most recent residents moved out weeks ago, so no one was home at the time of the fire.
Members of the Seymour Fire Dept. responded to the home, 1998 McCreary Road, around 3:45 a.m. and were still on the scene well into the morning.
In addition to the flames, firefighters had to deal with high winds while working to put out the fire as well as a lack of nearby hydrants.
