Knoxville, Tenn. Knoxville Fire Department officials confirmed that first responders tried to revive a toddler following a possible drowning Tuesday.
Late Tuesday evening, Knoxville Police confirmed that 10 month old Javin Collins died shortly after arriving at UT Children's Hospital.
Emergency crews were dispatched to 5508 Rockbridge Lane around 3 PM Tuesday.
Police said the mother, Jennifer Tomko, found the toddler unresponsive in the bathtub after returning to the bathroom.
Neighbors called E-911 and attempted to perform CPR on the child until emergency responders arrived on the scene.
The Department of Children Services joined in on the investigation. The 3-year old male sibling of the victim has been temporarily removed from the residence and placed into the custody of relatives.
