KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Chicken wing enthusiasts flocked to the annual Big Kahuna Wing Festival Saturday.
Hundreds gathered at World's Fair Park in search of the best tasting wings. This year's festival featured more than two dozen competing teams. They were all vying to be the Big Kahuna of Wings and Tennessee State Champion.
Those not competing said they just came out to eat some delicious food.
"When I think of Knoxville, I think of a lot of things, I don't just think about great food, great wings, great people, I'm going to walk away thinking that's a pretty cool place," says Bobby Patton who is in town for the event.
The festival supports the Empty Stocking Fund and the Ronald McDonald House.
