NEW MARKET, Tenn. (WVLT)-- After two years of service, former U.S. Marine Chris Bright continues to serve his community.
He opened his own business to do what he does best.
"I was sitting back looking at my life jumping from job to job and I had enough. I decided to do what I love and that's what I followed," Bright said.
He pursued his love for wild life animals and opened S & C Critter Gitter.
He traps and relocates any animals invading people's homes and properties. He catches everything from skunks, raccoons, possums and snakes.
"The worst snake job... I went into a crawl space and pulled out 32 snakes," he said.
Bright told Local 8 News most of his calls are about skunks.
While he loves dealing with animals, he said it's rewarding to help people get rid of the pesky critters that could potentially be dangerous.
"They carry multiple diseases. You don't have to come in contact with the animal to contract a disease," Bright said. "Along with that they can come up into your attic tear up things, chew on your wires."
He said it feels good to be working a job he enjoys.
