Four children, ages 2-8, die in Pennsylvania house fire

POTTSVILLE, Penn. (CBS) -- Authorities have identified the four children and two adults killed in an eastern Pennsylvania house fire. A neighbor says the children’s mother, 28 year old Kelly Brown, was doing laundry across the street the time of the fire.

Flames broke out just before midnight Sunday at the home in Pottsville, about 90 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

The Schuylkill County Coroner’s office has identified the victims as 30-year-old Eric Brown; and his children, 2-year-old Elijah Brown; 3-year-old Emily Brown; 7-year-old Jeremiah Brown; and 8-year-old Joy Brown.

Kelly Brown's sister, 26 year old Kristina Thomas, also died.

Neightbors say they saw smoke and ran to Brown’s house, but were unable to reach the victims.
