KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The UT fan who fell 35 feet at Friday night's game against North Carolina State has been identified as 20-year-old Isaac Grubb, a Lenoir City local and Pelissippi State student with plans to transfer to the University of Tennessee.
Isaac's grandmother Mary Grubb said he was a an avid sports fan who went to games with friends whenever he could. She said he was very excited for the game and was looking forward to spending a day in Atlanta after.
"He was very kind, he was very generous, he was very thoughtful. And very loving for a grown man. He would still come give you that big bear hug," said Grubb.
Grubb helped care for Isaac and his sister Ally, a senior at Lenoir City High School, along with their two cousins while they were young.
She called Isaac the leader of the pack.
"Isaac was our first grandson, and he was a total joy," said Grubb.
Isaac was an employee at Brixx Wood Fired Pizza in Turkey Creek. The manager said there weren't words to describe the impact he had.
Those wishing to donate to a memorial fund can contact the manager via the company's Facebook page.
