BOSTON, Mass (CBSNEWS) -- MIT is honoring the late Officer Sean Collier Wednesday at noon.
The school will host the memorial service honoring Collier and will be open to the MIT community and law enforcement officers from across the nation.
Top state and federal officials will also be invited to the event, which will be held on Briggs Field.
It's expected to draw up to 10,000 attendees.
Wednesday's ceremony will follow a private memorial service and funeral Tuesday for Collier, five days after he was shot and killed in the line of duty.
Vice President Joe Biden will attend the memorial.
MIT has set up a fund in his memory.
