KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Whether billards, ping pong, darts air hockey or shuffleboard, a lot of points were scored Friday night for a good cause.
The Local 8 News team participated in "Game On Against Cancer" raising money to help The Thompson Cares Fund which provides financial assistance for patients who are in crisis and need help to meet the expenses of basic necessities like housing, transportation, medical supplies and medication. In 2012, over $65,000 in aid was provided through the fund.
