'Game On' against cancer with local celebrities

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- 'Game On Against Cancer' is being held tonight between 6 & 10 p.m. at Games & Things on Kingston Pike at Lovell Road and is bringing together local celebrities to raise money for The Thompson Cares Fund and The Fellowship Center.

Owner of Games and Things, Lisa Mellon wanted to give back to the Thompson Center.

She has been a patient for several years, getting an injection for Lupus and has witnessed what she calls an amazing and caring staff of doctor and nurses, and many others who work there.

At tonight's event, you'll have the chance to face a local celebrity or your friends to a game, and there will also be a silent auction, food and beverages.

From Local 8 News, Alan Williams, Michele Silva and Bob Yarbrough will be at the event.

Con Hunley, Newstalks' Phil Williams and Hallerin Hill, Sports Animals' Jeff Jacoby and "Doc" are signed up to play!
