Gas leak closes stretch of Pellissippi Pkwy.

ALCOA, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A gas leak has closed the final stretch of Pellissippi Pkwy. near Old Knoxville Road around midday on Tuesday. Traffic is being rerouted as crews work to repair the line.

Drivers on Alcoa Highway are only being allowed to exit onto west bound Pellissippi Pkwy.

Authorities in Alcoa said the leak ended up being bigger than they expected and they aren't sure how long they'll need to keep the road closed.
