Go Kart Race Raises Money for Cancer Research

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. Ashway Speedway will be hosting another Benefit Race. All the race entry fees for the Benefit Races will be directly donated to the Thompson Cancer Survival Center, East Tennessee Children's Hospital Oncology and Susan G. Komen.

In 2012 Ashway Speedway collected a total of $1600 for all the Entry Fees (Race & Grandstands). The donations were split $500 to the Thompson Cancer Survival Center, $500 to Susan G. Komen of Knoxville and $600 to the East Tennessee Children's Hospital Oncology.

All Entry Fees ($15 per driver in each class) will be combined with all other donations collected and will be donated to find a cure for cancer, further research and help people stay well and get well. Instead of the payouts for the Benefit Races, a Special Trophy will be given to the Winner in each class.
