Bomb threat causes early school dismissal in Grainger County

GRAINGER COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- All Grainger County schools will close at 2:15 p.m. Friday, said the superintendent. The buses will run at 2:15 p.m.

He told Local 8 News the early dismissal is due to a bomb threat from Jamaica.

Search dogs have come in and checked the schools, some schools have been cleared.

All schools won't be able to be cleared before regular dismissal, therefore it is a 2:15 dismissal.
