GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Anyone interested in working in the tourism industry should head to Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies Saturday, May 11. With more than 100 open positions across its Sevier County attractions, Ripley's is hosting a job fair from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on the lower plaza of the aquarium.
Positions range from actors and mascots, to divers and mermaids.
“This is a great opportunity to work at one of the most innovative and exciting tourist attractions in the world. We have 8 unique and fun attractions with a wide variety of jobs available,” said Ryan DeSear, general manager of Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.
All eight Ripley's Sevier County attractions are hiring, including Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Odditorium, Ripley's Davy Crockett Mini-Golf, Ripley's Haunted Adventure, Ripley's Marvelous Mirror Maze & Candy Factory, Ripley's Moving Theater, Ripley's Old McDonald's Farm Mini-Golf, and Guinness World Records Museum.
“Ripley’s offers great pay, great perks, flexible schedules, and a chance to be a part of the Ripley family,” said DeSear.
If performance positions don't sound like a good fit, Ripley's also wants to hire cashiers, educators, sales representatives, photographers, landscapers, maintenance, cooks, and more.
Free food, drinks and admission to all Ripley's attractions will be offered to everyone who applies for a job.
